Our Progress
Since the foundation of the Rosani Lens Project in 2020, we have seen great progress being made in our goal of empowering lives & communities through the restoration of vision. We are humbled and overly thankful for the many individuals and teams that have been willing to take Rosani kits to the far reaches of the globe and serve populations that have little to no access to eye care. Up to this point, Rosani has been able to send kits with teams to 12 countries on 5 continents and provide new custom eyeglasses to over 1,100 patients!
We have trips lined up for both 2023 and 2024, but we would love to send many more. Please reach out to us if you're interested in taking eye care to an underserved area. We would love to talk to you about the possibilities!

Our Patients
While the large number of patients that have received glasses is exciting, it's the individual stories that really move our hearts and drive us towards future work. Through our volunteers, we've heard stories of kidnapped refugees whose glasses were stolen, Haitian asylum seekers living on the Mexican border, Russian political refugees, Belizean farm boys with terminal illnesses and severe myopia, Kenyan pastors who can now read, and Guatemalans who just happily noted that the glasses were "very pretty". We've heard more stories of hugs, rejoicing, and tears shed than can be counted. We're so grateful to hear the stories from our volunteers who've heard the quiet words of THANK YOU directed to both God and their teams.

Rosani has logged and analyzed data from hundreds of patients so far and the results have been thoroughly encouraging. Our non-medical volunteers have consistently tested for and distributed high-quality glasses with an average final visual acuity approaching 20/25. That's from an average baseline of 20/80 (not good enough to drive a car). With the Rosani technique over 96% of our patients end up having their visual impairment alleviated. And, consistently, an incredible 5% of these Rosani patients go from legally blind to having NO visual impairment, which represents an immense & immediate life change! |
